Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate direct patient care using the nursing process: assess, plan, implement and evaluate
• Continuously monitor cardiac rhythms and telemetry, recognizing and responding to changes quickly
• Communicate changes in patient condition and diagnostic results clearly with physicians and the interdisciplinary team
• Deliver patient and family teaching to support recovery, discharge planning and self-care
• Coordinate care activities with nursing personnel and ensure adherence to unit standards
• Perform accurate and timely documentation in the medical record and complete required competency testing

Qualifications

• Current, valid RN license (must be active and verifiable)
• BLS (required)
• ACLS (required)
• DCI/BVP certification
• Telemetry and cardiac monitoring experience
• Ventilator management experience preferred
• COVID-19 vaccination/boosters preferred
• Willingness to complete required competency exams, drug screen, fit test and health screenings

Knowledge & Skills

• Telemetry monitoring and cardiac rhythm interpretation
• Strong patient assessment and clinical decision-making
• Patient/family education and teaching techniques
• Familiarity with telemetry unit workflows and safety standards
• Basic ventilator familiarity (preferred)
• Clear communication and teamwork with physicians and allied staff
• Accurate documentation and time management under acute-care conditions
