Roles & Responsibilities

• Assess and monitor patient condition, reporting changes promptly and proactively
• Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to create and implement patient-centered care plans
• Document patient care clearly in the electronic health record and ensure continuity of care
• Educate patients and families with compassion and clarity to support recovery and wellness
• Respond effectively to urgent situations and support unit workflow during high-acuity periods
• Serve as a reliable, experienced member of the care team and mentor colleagues when appropriate

Qualifications

• Active RN license in Georgia or a compact RN license (must be current and in good standing)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required; Advanced certifications such as ACLS or PALS preferred depending on unit
• Clinical experience in an acute care setting; travel experience a plus
• Ability to complete 48-hour contract weeks and adapt to variable shift patterns
• Strong communication skills and professionalism when working with diverse patients and teams

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) — BSN preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid patient assessment and clinical judgment skills
• Medication administration and IV therapy competency
• Comfortable with electronic health records and thorough documentation
• Excellent teamwork, time management, and adaptability in fast-paced environments
• Ability to prioritize tasks and maintain patient safety during busy shifts
