Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care as a licensed practical nurse
- Administer medications and treatments according to provider orders and facility policy
- Perform thorough patient assessments and report changes to the care team
- Maintain accurate documentation in the patient record to support continuity of care
- Collaborate with nurses, providers, and support staff to deliver safe care
- Support admissions, discharges, and transitions to keep the unit running smoothly
- Follow infection control and safety protocols to protect patients and staff
Qualifications
- Current Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) designation
- Active LPN license appropriate for practice (state licensure requirements apply)
- Comfort working 12+ hour day shifts (7:00 AM - 7:30 PM) as needed
- Strong communication and teamwork skills to work effectively with the clinical team
- Ability to perform clinical documentation accurately and timely
Education
- Graduate of an accredited Practical Nursing (LPN/LVN) program
Knowledge & Skills
- Fundamental nursing assessment and bedside care skills
- Medication administration and basic clinical procedures
- Accurate charting and clinical documentation practices
- Infection control principles and safe patient handling
- Patient communication, empathy, and family engagement
