Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, hands-on nursing care to residents and patients
- Administer medications and treatments accurately and safely
- Perform routine assessments and document changes in patient condition
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate care
- Educate patients and families on care plans and follow-up needs
- Advocate for patient comfort, dignity, and best outcomes
Qualifications
- Current Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in good standing (required)
- Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification preferred or obtain upon hire
- Previous LPN experience in long-term care, skilled nursing, or similar setting preferred
- Strong communication skills and ability to work well on a team
- Comfortable with 12+ hour shifts and flexible scheduling
Education
- Completion of an accredited Practical Nursing program or equivalent diploma
Knowledge & Skills
- Medication administration and documentation best practices
- Basic assessment skills: vital signs, wound checks, ADL support
- Familiarity with electronic medical record charting and care plans
- Infection control principles and safe patient handling
- Good time management, prioritization, and patient advocacy
