Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate direct patient care, assisting with activities of daily living
- Monitor and record vital signs and report changes to the nursing team
- Assist with safe patient transfers and mobility, using proper body mechanics
- Maintain cleanliness and infection control standards in resident areas
- Support individualized care plans and document observations accurately
- Communicate clearly and kindly with patients, families, and interdisciplinary staff
Qualifications
- Active Licensed Nursing Assistant (LNA) credential (VT or NH acceptable)
- Comfortable working overnight shifts and adaptable to per diem scheduling
- Strong communication skills and a positive, team-focused attitude
- Ability to pass required background checks and any facility onboarding requirements
- BLS/CPR certification preferred or willingness to obtain
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent; completion of an LNA training program and certification required
Knowledge & Skills
- Basic clinical skills: vital signs, ADL assistance, safe patient handling
- Familiarity with infection prevention and standard precautions
- Understanding of patient confidentiality and respectful, dignified care
- Good observational skills and accurate documentation habits
- Teamwork and clear communication with nurses and care staff
