Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate bedside care and assist patients with activities of daily living
• Perform thorough and timely vital sign checks and report changes to nursing staff
• Assist with safe patient transfers and mobility support while promoting independence
• Maintain a clean, safe patient environment and follow infection control practices
• Document care accurately and communicate observations to the interdisciplinary team
• Support mealtime assistance and timely completion of assigned tasks with dignity
• Build trusting relationships with patients and families through respectful communication

Qualifications

• Valid Licensed Nursing Assistant (LNA) credential—able to practice in VT or NH as indicated
• Current CPR/BLS certification or willingness to obtain upon hire
• Recent experience in long-term care, skilled nursing, or similar clinical setting preferred
• Up-to-date immunizations and clear TB screening as required by facility policy
• Reliable, compassionate, and able to work independently during night shifts
• Pass a background check and drug screening as part of onboarding

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent and completion of a state-approved LNA program

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong knowledge of basic nursing care and infection prevention standards
• Comfortable taking and recording vital signs and basic observations
• Ability to safely assist with ADLs and patient mobility techniques
• Good communication skills with patients, families, and clinical team members
• Basic familiarity with electronic health record documentation or willingness to learn
• Attention to detail and ability to follow care plans and facility policies
