Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on care to patients, assisting with activities of daily living
• Perform routine vital signs and report changes promptly to the nursing team
• Assist with safe transfers and mobility, using proper body mechanics and equipment
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of care and patient status
• Adhere to infection control standards and facility safety protocols
• Communicate clearly and respectfully with patients, families, and interdisciplinary staff
• Contribute to a positive, team-focused environment that prioritizes patient dignity

Qualifications

• Active Licensed Nursing Assistant (LNA) certification — VT or NH eligibility preferred
• Current BLS/CPR certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire)
• Comfortable working 12+ hour night shifts and adapting to per-diem schedules
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively
• Previous experience as an LNA or similar patient care role preferred but enthusiastic learners are welcome

Education

• High school diploma or GED
• Completion of a state-approved Nursing Assistant training program (LNA)

Knowledge & Skills

• Hands-on patient care and assistance with ADLs
• Basic vital signs measurement and reporting
• Safe patient handling and transfer techniques
• Infection prevention and control practices
• Clear documentation and communication within the care team
• Time management and prioritization in a fast-paced clinical setting
