Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide advanced neonatal care for Level III NICU patients, ensuring safety and best-practice clinical interventions
- Attend deliveries and support the team during newborn resuscitation and stabilization
- Manage ventilators, monitors and other critical neonatal equipment with vigilance
- Collaborate closely with neonatologists, respiratory therapists and multidisciplinary staff to develop and execute care plans
- Communicate clearly and compassionately with families, keeping them informed and supported during stressful moments
- Document assessments, interventions and progress accurately and timely to support continuity of care
Qualifications
- Active RN credential (position is for a Registered Nurse in the NICU)
- Minimum two (2) years of Level 3 NICU experience required; candidates without this will not be considered
- Experience attending deliveries is required
- Comfort and prior experience working 12-hour night shifts
- Postpartum experience welcomed but not required
- Relevant neonatal certifications (for example NRP) are a plus
Knowledge & Skills
- Solid knowledge of Level III NICU protocols and advanced newborn care
- Skilled in delivery attendance and immediate neonatal stabilization
- Competent with neonatal respiratory support and monitoring
- Strong clinical judgment, triage and critical thinking under pressure
- Excellent teamwork and family-centered communication skills
