Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide advanced neonatal care for Level III NICU patients, ensuring safety and best-practice clinical interventions
• Attend deliveries and support the team during newborn resuscitation and stabilization
• Manage ventilators, monitors and other critical neonatal equipment with vigilance
• Collaborate closely with neonatologists, respiratory therapists and multidisciplinary staff to develop and execute care plans
• Communicate clearly and compassionately with families, keeping them informed and supported during stressful moments
• Document assessments, interventions and progress accurately and timely to support continuity of care

Qualifications

• Active RN credential (position is for a Registered Nurse in the NICU)
• Minimum two (2) years of Level 3 NICU experience required; candidates without this will not be considered
• Experience attending deliveries is required
• Comfort and prior experience working 12-hour night shifts
• Postpartum experience welcomed but not required
• Relevant neonatal certifications (for example NRP) are a plus

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid knowledge of Level III NICU protocols and advanced newborn care
• Skilled in delivery attendance and immediate neonatal stabilization
• Competent with neonatal respiratory support and monitoring
• Strong clinical judgment, triage and critical thinking under pressure
• Excellent teamwork and family-centered communication skills
