Candidate Pay Rate: $46 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist licensed physical therapists in delivering patient-centered care and evidence-based treatment plans
• Implement therapeutic exercises, modalities, and mobility training to help patients regain function
• Monitor patient progress, document clinical observations, and communicate changes to the PT
• Provide safe patient handling, transfers, and ambulation support to promote independence
• Educate patients and families on home exercise programs and fall-prevention strategies
• Collaborate with nursing and interdisciplinary teams to coordinate comprehensive care

Qualifications

• Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) or eligible for licensure in California
• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program
• Current BLS/CPR certification (or willingness to obtain prior to start)
• Prior experience in post-acute, skilled nursing, or rehabilitation settings preferred
• Strong clinical judgment, excellent communication skills, and a patient-first attitude

Education

• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program

Knowledge & Skills

• Familiarity with therapeutic exercise progressions and modalities used in rehab
• Skilled in safe patient handling, transfers, and gait training
• Comfortable with clinical documentation and electronic health record systems
• Ability to teach and motivate patients and family members
• Teamwork, time management, and adaptability in a fast-paced post-acute environment
