Roles & Responsibilities

• Monitor high volumes of telemetry patients and maintain vigilance across multiple beds
• Analyze and interpret cardiac rhythms promptly and accurately to support patient safety
• Build end-of-shift reports and maintain patient records within the GE Carescape system
• Add and discharge patients from the GE Carescape monitoring workflow
• Communicate clearly with floor staff using desktop phone and iPhone applications to coordinate care
• Maintain a detailed running call log and escalate concerns as appropriate
• Multi-task effectively during busy periods while staying calm and professional
• Contribute to a positive, organized unit culture focused on patient-centered monitoring

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience (remote monitoring/telemetry experience preferred)
• Telemetry competency and ability to pass a basic cardiac rhythm test (required)
• Demonstrated ability to analyze and interpret heart rhythms
• Proficient typing skills and basic computer knowledge
• Comfort using an iPhone application for clinical communication
• Reliable attendance and professional approach to on-call and weekend rotations
• Good written and spoken English communication skills
• Preferred: CNA or cardiac nursing background, ECG board certification, and prior GE monitoring experience

Knowledge & Skills

• Telemetry and remote cardiac monitoring best practices
• Cardiac rhythm interpretation and basic cardiac rhythm testing
• Hands-on experience with GE Carescape systems
• High-volume patient monitoring and prioritization skills
• Strong multitasking, stress management, and attention to detail
• Familiarity with clinical communication via phone and mobile apps
• Basic electronic documentation and end-of-shift reporting
