Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, high-quality patient care as a licensed practical nurse at RiverRidge Center
- Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately according to protocols
- Monitor patients' conditions, document observations, and communicate changes to the care team
- Assist with activities of daily living while promoting patient dignity and independence
- Collaborate with nurses, therapists, and physicians to deliver coordinated care plans
- Ensure accurate and timely charting in the electronic health record to support continuity of care
- Participate in shift handoffs and contribute to a positive, team-focused environment
Qualifications
- Current Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) credential in good standing
- CPR/BLS certification (current) or willing to obtain
- Proven clinical experience as an LPN in long-term care, skilled nursing, or a similar setting preferred
- Local candidate required — reliable personal transportation is a must (Uber is NOT sufficient)
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with an interdisciplinary team
- Ability to work the scheduled 2:30 PM - 11:00 PM shift consistently
Education
- Graduation from an accredited practical nursing program (LPN diploma or certificate)
Knowledge & Skills
- Medication administration and documentation best practices
- Fundamental nursing assessments and monitoring of vital signs
- Basic wound care and infection control principles
- Comfortable using electronic health record systems for charting
- Prioritization, time management, and effective clinical judgment under typical workload
- Compassionate patient interaction and family communication skills
