Shift Type: Nights, 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM NOC (12-hour night shift). Specific days of week to be confirmed with facility.

Candidate Pay Rate: $56 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality, compassionate nursing care to med-surg and ortho patients on a 24-bed unit
- Assess patients, develop individualized care plans, implement interventions, and evaluate outcomes
- Provide post-operative orthopedic care including pain management, mobility assistance, and wound monitoring
- Collaborate with surgeons, therapists, and the interdisciplinary team to coordinate safe, timely discharges
- Accurately document assessments, interventions, and patient responses in the medical record
- Educate patients and families on condition-specific care, recovery expectations, and home safety
- Respond promptly and effectively to changes in patient condition and clinical emergencies
- Promote a culture of safety and infection control, maintaining unit standards and best practices
- Mentor and support colleagues to strengthen team performance and patient outcomes
Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Oklahoma or a current multistate compact RN license
- Current BLS certification required; ACLS or other specialty certifications preferred
- Med-Surg and Orthopedics clinical experience; prior med-surg/ortho experience preferred
- Ability to work 12-hour night shifts and maintain strong clinical judgment during NOC hours
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with a patient-centered approach
- Immunizations and health screening per facility requirements
Education
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong assessment and critical thinking skills for acute med-surg and ortho patients
- Post-operative orthopedic care knowledge including mobility protocols and DVT prevention
- Medication administration and IV therapy competence
- Familiarity with electronic medical records and accurate clinical documentation
- Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced 24-bed unit with a 1:5 ratio
- Effective patient and family education techniques
