Candidate Pay Rate: $6 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Manage ventilator settings and perform troubleshooting to ensure optimal patient respiratory support
- Perform airway management and suctioning, including tracheostomy care and extubation support
- Interpret arterial blood gases (ABGs) to guide clinical decision-making and ventilator weaning
- Administer respiratory medications and operate delivery systems (MDI, nebulizers, aerosol setups)
- Provide pulmonary hygiene, sputum specimen collection, and other essential respiratory therapies
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams in adult critical care and emergency settings to deliver high-quality care
- Float between campuses as needed while maintaining continuity and safety of patient care
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of respiratory therapy experience (adult critical care preferred)
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification preferred
- OH State Respiratory License (required)
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications (ACLS preferred)
- CRT is a plus
- Experience with ventilator management (BiPAP/CPAP/HFNC) and weaning from mechanical ventilation
- Comfort with medication administration relevant to RT practice and use of common delivery systems
- High attention to detail, strong communication skills, and ability to work nights and weekends
Education
- High School Diploma required
- College Diploma and/or transcripts required (respiratory therapy program or relevant clinical education)
Knowledge & Skills
- Ventilator management and troubleshooting (GE and preferred Hamilton ventilators)
- Airway management: oral/nasal airways, suctioning, tracheostomy care
- Interpretation of Arterial Blood Gases (ABGs)
- High Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC), BiPAP and CPAP therapies
- Oxygen therapy and pulmonary hygiene techniques
- Medication delivery systems: MDI, nebulizers, aerosol setups, T-piece and trach collar
- Troubleshooting high pressure alarms and preparing for weaning protocols
- Experience in adult critical care and emergency department respiratory interventions
