Roles & Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic radiographic procedures accurately and compassionately
- Operate radiographic equipment and ensure high-quality image acquisition
- Apply radiation safety principles and follow established protocols at all times
- Maintain and wear a dosimeter badge and report readings per policy
- Document exams and patient information promptly in the EMR
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and the imaging team to optimize patient care
- Function independently with sound clinical judgment and support colleagues when needed
- Participate in quality improvement and equipment checks to maintain safety and performance
Qualifications
- Current State of Hawaii Radiologic Technologist license required by start of assignment
- Current ARRT certification required
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a radiologic technologist
- Must have and maintain a dosimeter badge
- Ability to work independently and follow radiation safety protocols
- Willing and able to arrive the Friday before the Monday start for required HR/EH clearance
Knowledge & Skills
- Proficiency in operation of radiographic equipment and image acquisition
- Strong knowledge of radiation safety and protocols
- Experience with Meditech and Epic EMR systems preferred
- Familiarity with Philips DR, Philips C-arm, OEC C-arm, and Konica DR preferred
- Excellent patient positioning and communication skills
- Ability to perform quality control and troubleshoot imaging equipment
