Roles & Responsibilities

• Administer prescribed courses of ionizing radiation safely and accurately to oncology patients
• Calculate and verify procedure details including exposure length, dose strength, and machine settings
• Assess and document patients’ daily physiological and psychological responses to treatment and ensure compassionate care
• Participate in patient and community education about radiation therapy and safety
• Assist with billing and coding processes related to radiation therapy services
• Maintain strict radiation safety protocols and ensure accurate treatment records
• Collaborate with the oncology care team to support optimal treatment planning and patient outcomes
• Contribute to a positive patient experience by demonstrating empathy, professionalism, and excellent communication

Qualifications

• Current, valid Wyoming Radiation Technologist License in good standing
• Current ARRT registration in good standing
• BLS certification current or obtained within 60 days of hire (must be maintained throughout employment)
• Associate's degree in Radiation Therapy or Associate's degree in Radiation Technology
• Previous experience as a Radiation Therapist required
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and prioritize patient safety and quality

Education

• Associate's degree in Radiation Therapy
• Associate's degree in Radiation Technology

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, oncologic pathology, radiation biology, and dosimetry
• Hands-on experience with treatment planning procedures and radiation oncology techniques
• Excellent patient assessment and monitoring skills with compassion for oncology patients
• Clear verbal and written communication, active listening, and customer service skills
• Proficiency learning and using computer software systems related to radiation therapy
• Exceptional organization, time management, and problem-solving abilities
• Commitment to confidentiality, ethical practice, and legal accountability
