Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on occupational therapy treatments under OT supervision to support patients' daily function and independence
• Implement individualized treatment plans, document progress, and adjust interventions with clinical reasoning
• Collaborate with occupational therapists, nursing staff, and interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient-centered care
• Educate patients and caregivers on adaptive strategies, home programs, and use of assistive devices
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation and comply with facility policies and regulatory standards
• Contribute to a positive, motivating environment that encourages patient progress and staff teamwork

Qualifications

• Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) credential required
• Active COTA license or eligibility in New Hampshire (or compact/reciprocal credentials as applicable)
• Current BLS/CPR certification preferred or willing to obtain
• Previous experience in rehabilitation, skilled nursing, or outpatient settings is a plus
• Strong interpersonal skills and a passion for patient-centered care

Education

• Associate degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program or equivalent

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in therapeutic activities, ADL retraining, and use of adaptive equipment
• Good clinical documentation and charting practices
• Ability to follow treatment plans and adapt techniques to individual patient needs
• Strong communication and teamwork skills for interdisciplinary collaboration
• Knowledge of safety protocols, infection control, and patient handling
