Roles & Responsibilities
- Manage individualized patient care using the nursing process to promote and restore health
- Provide physical and emotional support to patients, families and caregivers during oncology treatment
- Collaborate closely with physicians and multidisciplinary team members to coordinate care plans
- Supervise and mentor assigned team members to ensure high-quality care delivery
- Document patient assessments, interventions and outcomes accurately and timely
- Escalate concerns and communicate effectively with the Nurse Manager and leadership as needed
Qualifications
- Current, valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in New Hampshire (Nursys-verified)
- Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing
- Some clinical nursing experience (required)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (required)
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification (required)
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) highly preferred
Education
- Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong oncology nursing knowledge and patient-centered care skills
- Proficiency with the nursing process: assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation
- Effective collaboration with physicians and multidisciplinary teams
- Patient and family education and emotional support skills
- Clinical judgment, documentation accuracy and time management
- Leadership and ability to supervise assigned team members
