Roles & Responsibilities

• Schedule and coordinate outpatient surgical procedures for roughly 20 surgeons across multiple specialties
• Serve as the primary liaison between surgeons' offices, patients, anesthesia providers, and ASC clinical staff
• Ensure every case follows ASC policies, optimizes block utilization, and respects surgeon availability
• Manage schedule adjustments, cancellations, and same-day add-ons while keeping patient flow efficient
• Coordinate with anesthesia and nursing leadership to maximize daily case volume and room usage
• Maintain accurate, up-to-date scheduling data within the ASC scheduling system
• Ensure compliance with HIPAA, CMS, and accreditation standards like AAAHC/Joint Commission
• Deliver excellent customer service as the front-facing representative of the ASC
• Perform additional administrative and scheduling duties as assigned by leadership

Qualifications

• Proven experience scheduling outpatient surgical procedures and coordinating multi-party case logistics
• Working knowledge of ASC scheduling systems and strong comfort using scheduling software
• Familiarity with regulatory and accreditation standards (HIPAA, CMS, AAAHC/Joint Commission)
• Excellent communication skills for interacting with patients, surgeons, anesthesia, and nursing
• Demonstrated flexibility and sound judgment in a fast-paced outpatient surgical environment
• Customer-service mindset and the ability to manage competing priorities
• Willingness to work occasional overtime when surgical volume requires it
