Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, evidence-based critical care to ICU patients using the nursing process
• Perform focused nursing assessments, develop care plans, implement interventions, and evaluate outcomes
• Monitor and respond to hemodynamic changes and abnormal diagnostic results promptly and accurately
• Collaborate and communicate effectively with physicians, families, and the multidisciplinary care team
• Educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatments, and discharge plans
• Maintain patient privacy, confidentiality, and professional standards of care at all times
• Participate in required competency exams, specialty checklists, and ongoing skills validation

Qualifications

• Current and valid state Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Minimum of 1 year experience as a staff RN in acute care/critical care (ICU) required
• BLS and ACLS certifications required; DCI/BVP listed among required certifications
• EPIC EMR experience required — proficiency with charting and order workflows
• CCRN certification preferred
• COVID-19 vaccination/boosters preferred and other routine occupational health requirements (TB, MMR, Hep B, influenza, fit test, 10-panel drug screen)

Knowledge & Skills

• Critical care nursing and ICU patient management
• Hemodynamic monitoring and interpretation
• Nursing assessment, care planning, and implementation
• Familiarity with EPIC electronic medical records
• Basic and advanced life support (BLS, ACLS) skills
• Ability to respond quickly to changes in patient condition and coordinate with physicians
