Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic radiography, CT, mammography, bone densitometry, ultrasound, and special procedures following department protocols
• Serve as the first-line interface with patients and departments, delivering high-quality imaging and compassionate customer service
• Participate in performance improvement and quality control activities to maintain top-notch imaging standards
• Oversee the radiology area and staff in the manager or director's absence, stepping into a leadership role when needed
• Manage scheduling and maintain supplies and equipment for assigned sub-departments to keep operations running smoothly
• Process and transmit images to PACS, ensuring accurate image processing and timely availability for clinicians
• Promote teamwork and a positive work culture while adhering to state and federal regulations and safety practices

Qualifications

• State licensure and fluoroscopy permit as required by Ohio
• Appropriate national certifications in at least two modalities (as required effective July 1, 2017)
• Current BLS (AHA) certification
• Graduate of a JRCERT-accredited radiography program
• Familiarity with State and Federal regulations governing radiology practice
• One year of acute clinical radiography experience preferred
• Proficient computer skills and experience with image processing/transmission systems

Education

• Graduate of a program accredited by JRCERT (radiologic technology program)

Knowledge & Skills

• Diagnostic Radiography, CT/CAT Scan, Mammography, Bone Densitometry, Ultrasound
• Fluoroscopy and special procedures knowledge
• PACS operation and image processing/transmission
• Performance improvement and quality control (PI/QC) practices
• Scheduling, supply and inventory management
• Strong customer service and staff oversight/leadership abilities
• Comfortable with standard hospital computer systems and documentation
