Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, high-quality medical-surgical nursing care for a mixed Med/Surg patient population in a 30-bed unit
• Assess and monitor patient conditions, initiating timely interventions when needed
• Administer medications and treatments safely, following established protocols
• Document patient care accurately and perform thorough handoffs to ensure continuity
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate and optimize patient care
• Maintain a positive, professional attitude and punctual presence to support unit flow and patient outcomes

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg nursing experience; Level 1 trauma or mid-to-large hospital experience required
• BLS required; ACLS preferred
• Demonstrated ability to work in higher-acuity settings (5-6:1 ratio)
• Reliable, punctual, and brings a positive attitude to the team

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong medical-surgical clinical judgment and patient assessment skills
• Comfort managing a diverse caseload in a busy hospital environment
• Experience working in trauma-level or mid-to-large hospital settings
• Accurate documentation and effective communication skills
