Shift Type: Rotating shifts (day and night), schedule varies and includes weekends; must be willing to work assigned shifts, no block schedules

Candidate Pay Rate: $47 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide high-acuity nursing care for patients with spinal, neuro and traumatic surgical needs
- Assess and monitor patients with gunshot wounds, quadriplegia and paraplegia with precision and compassion
- Collaborate with surgical and trauma teams to implement care plans and respond rapidly to changes
- Document patient care accurately and promptly in EPIC
- Perform skilled wound and post-operative care for complex surgical patients
- Educate patients and families about care plans, discharge needs and ongoing rehabilitation
- Maintain required certifications and participate in unit-based safety and quality initiatives
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of experience in trauma, surgical or high-acuity specialty
- Current, verifiable nursing license (Nursys license verification required)
- BLS required; ACLS preferred
- EPIC charting experience required — please note on your profile
- Complete profile with resume/work history (no gaps greater than 60 days), skills checklist, references and certification card
- Badge-appropriate photo for demographic/profile requirements
- Comfort and skill caring for spinal, neuro, trauma and surgical patient populations
Knowledge & Skills
- High-acuity patient management including spinal and neuro care
- Trauma and surgical nursing, including gunshot wound care
- Care for quadriplegic and paraplegic patients
- Strong EPIC documentation skills
- Critical thinking, rapid assessment and emergency response
- Effective communication with multidisciplinary teams and families
