Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour day and night shifts: 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM and 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM; typically 3 shifts per week with every-other-weekend rotation (rotating schedule, day/night)
Hours per Week: 38
Candidate Pay Rate: $46 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide high-acuity critical care to adult ICU and COVID patients with compassion and clinical excellence
- Manage vasoactive drips and perform continuous hemodynamic monitoring to keep patients stable
- Operate and monitor advanced support modalities including ECMO and CRRT as clinically indicated
- Document timely and accurate patient care in Meditech and communicate clear handoffs to the team
- Collaborate with physicians, therapists and multidisciplinary staff to develop and implement individualized care plans
- Perform critical procedures and assist with chest tube and central line insertions when needed
- Float to other areas per unit policy when patient needs require flexibility and teamwork
Qualifications
- Active Texas RN license required (temporary licenses will not be accepted)
- ACLS and BLS certifications required
- NIH certification required (as listed)
- Minimum 2+ years of ICU/critical care experience (COVID ICU experience strongly preferred)
- Comfortable managing vasoactive drips and interpreting hemodynamic data
- ECMO and CRRT experience preferred; Meditech experience preferred
Education
- Registered Nurse (RN) — Active Texas RN license required; unit certifications (ACLS, BLS, NIH) required
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong knowledge of critical care nursing and ICU protocols
- Proficiency with vasoactive medications and advanced hemodynamic monitoring
- Experience with ECMO and CRRT equipment and monitoring (preferred)
- Skilled documentation in Meditech or similar electronic medical record systems
- Ability to work in high-acuity COVID ICU settings with calm, decisive clinical judgment
- Excellent communication, teamwork and patient/family collaboration skills
