Roles & Responsibilities

• Manage ventilators and deliver high-quality ventilator care for patients
• Set up and troubleshoot CPAP and BiPAP devices to optimize patient breathing
• Perform nebulizer treatments and manage oxygen delivery (nasal cannula, O2 tanks)
• Continuously monitor pulse oximetry and interpret EKG readings as needed
• Provide patient education on incentive spirometry and respiratory health
• Enter accurate RT charges and documentation in Meditech to support care and billing
• Identify low O2 tanks and maintain equipment readiness for safety
• Collaborate with nurses, physicians, and the interdisciplinary team to ensure safe, competent care

Qualifications

• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential required
• ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications required
• Minimum 1 year of respiratory therapy experience
• Experience with ventilators, CPAP/BiPAP, pulse oximetry, and EKG use/troubleshooting
• Familiarity with Meditech or similar EMR for documentation and charge entry
• Willingness to work weekends and occasional on-call shifts
• Strong patient assessment and people skills; team player attitude
