Shift Type: Rotating shifts including in-house coverage and home-call; varied day and night coverage with weekend responsibilities (schedule varies by rotation and team needs)

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality inpatient pediatric care on the hospital floor and during on-call coverage
- Document and maintain case logs from hospital encounters for review and credentialing
- Collaborate closely with pediatric intensivists, neonatologists and emergency medicine colleagues to coordinate patient care
- Participate in teaching and mentorship of pediatric and family practice residents during rotations
- Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and uphold Joint Commission standards
- Communicate effectively with families and interdisciplinary teams to support patient- and family-centered care
Qualifications
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Pediatrics (BC/BE)
- At least 1 year of current inpatient hospitalist experience; must provide last 12 months of case logs at interview
- Open to experienced providers and recent graduates who are TRULY Board Eligible within 5 years of eligibility
- Will not accept candidates with lapsed Board Certification who need to obtain it again
- Not accepting visa-sponsored candidates or locum candidates
- Willingness to discuss possible local residency requirements; relocation may be required and can be discussed
Education
- MD or DO (or equivalent) with completed pediatric residency; Board Certified or Board Eligible in Pediatrics
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong background in inpatient hospital medicine and pediatrics
- Comfortable providing in-house coverage and home-call responsibilities
- Familiarity with NICU/PICU systems and pediatric emergency collaboration
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills within multi-disciplinary teams
- Experience with case log documentation and clinical recordkeeping
- Interest or experience in academic teaching and working with resident learners
