Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional neonatal intensive care to infants in a 40-bed Level III NICU, delivering high-quality, compassionate care
- Deliver advanced respiratory and neuroprotective therapies, including HFOV, HFJV, inhaled nitric oxide, and therapeutic hypothermia
- Collaborate closely with on-site pediatric surgery and cardiology specialists to coordinate comprehensive treatment plans
- Coordinate with the nurse-led neonatal transport team for safe transfers and urgent responses
- Implement and promote family-centered care within a single-family room NICU model, supporting families as partners in care
- Lead and participate in quality improvement and safety initiatives to continually raise standards
- Engage in collaborative clinical research and education efforts to advance practice and mentor colleagues
Qualifications
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Neonatology
- Experience using HFOV, HFJV, inhaled nitric oxide, and therapeutic hypothermia in NICU settings
- Comfortable providing 24/7 in-house neonatal coverage as part of a collaborative team
- Experience coordinating neonatal transport and working with interdisciplinary teams including pediatric surgery and cardiology

Knowledge & Skills
- Advanced neonatal critical care and management of complex NICU patients
- Mechanical ventilation expertise (HFOV, HFJV) and advanced respiratory support
- Proficiency with inhaled nitric oxide therapy and therapeutic hypothermia protocols
- Neonatal transport coordination and emergency stabilization
- Strong interdisciplinary collaboration and communication with pediatric subspecialists
- Commitment to family-centered care within a single-family room NICU model
- Familiarity with quality improvement methods and participation in clinical research
- Teaching, mentoring, and education skills to support trainees and staff
