Shift Type: Daytime schedule: 2 clinic days, 2 OR days, 1 flexible day per week; ER imaging review on-call 7 days/month (remote review, minimal in-person requirements); likely one weekend on-call per month

Roles & Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality inpatient and outpatient neurosurgical care with an emphasis on patient-centered outcomes
- Perform general neurosurgical procedures and develop an elective spine practice to meet community needs
- Provide timely ER imaging review and clinical direction for ED teams, primarily via remote review
- Collaborate closely with APPs (PAs/NPs), pain service, and perioperative teams to optimize patient flow and care
- Document thoroughly and efficiently in EPIC to ensure continuity of care
- Participate in call rotation and weekend coverage as needed to support an underserved community
Qualifications
- Board Certified or TRULY Board Eligible through the American Board of Neurological Surgery (ABNS)
- Accepting new graduates through 2025 — TRULY Board Eligible within 5 years of eligibility and working toward board certification within 4 years
- Significant OR experience and comfort managing both inpatient and outpatient neurosurgical patients
- Ability to perform ER imaging review and make timely clinical decisions remotely
- Willingness to work collaboratively with APPs and integrated care teams
- Must be eligible to work in the U.S.; this position is not open to visa candidates or 1099-only candidates
Education
- Medical degree (MD or DO) and completion of neurosurgery residency
- Board Certification or Board Eligibility through ABNS required as specified
Knowledge & Skills
- Proficient with EPIC for documentation and order entry
- Experience with neuro-navigation tools (Globus robot, Stryker navigation)
- Strong clinical judgment in trauma/level 3 facility settings
- Skills in general neurosurgery with interest/ability to build elective spine practice
- Ability to interpret CT/MRI quickly for remote ER imaging review
- Effective communication and teamwork with APPs, surgical staff, and multidisciplinary services
