Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide expert Maternal Fetal Medicine consultative services for high-risk pregnancies across outpatient and inpatient settings
- Manage and coordinate care for complex perinatal cases in collaboration with OB Generalists and Neonatologists
- Perform and report obstetric ultrasounds using GE Viewpoint with thorough, timely documentation
- Utilize Cerner EMR to document patient care, communicate with the care team and support quality initiatives
- Participate in a rotating consultative call schedule to ensure continuous coverage, including nights and weekends
- Support remote patient monitoring programs for diabetic and hypotensive patients to improve outcomes
- Collaborate with the Level III NICU team to optimize maternal and neonatal care plans
- Work closely with Advanced Practice Nurses and practice staff to deliver coordinated, patient-centered care
Qualifications
- Board-certified Maternal Fetal Medicine physician
- Proven experience managing high-risk pregnancies in both outpatient and inpatient settings
- Proficiency with Cerner EMR and GE Viewpoint ultrasound reporting
- Comfort working within a Level III NICU environment and consulting with neonatology
- Willingness and ability to participate in rotating call coverage including nights and weekends
- Strong communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with APNs, RNs, practice managers and specialists
- Commitment to quality patient care and participation in practice and clinical programs
Education
- Board certification in Maternal Fetal Medicine (MD or DO)
Knowledge & Skills
- Expertise in Maternal Fetal Medicine and Perinatology
- High-risk pregnancy evaluation and management
- Obstetric ultrasound interpretation and reporting
- Inpatient consultative services for childbirth and peripartum care
- Outpatient clinical care and longitudinal patient management
- Familiarity with remote patient monitoring for maternal health
- Experience collaborating in a multidisciplinary perinatal team
