Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, patient-centered care to individuals with psychiatric needs
• Conduct routine observations and accurately document behaviors and interventions
• Support treatment plans by assisting with activities, group participation, and daily living tasks
• Use de-escalation and crisis-intervention techniques to maintain a safe environment
• Communicate clearly with the interdisciplinary team to coordinate patient care
• Follow facility policies and maintain security and safety standards at all times

Qualifications

• Active California Licensed Psychiatric Technician (LPT) certification required
• Newly licensed candidates are welcome to apply
• Ability to attend a one-day orientation (8:00 AM - 4:00 PM)
• Willingness to work the assigned schedule: Saturday through Wednesday, 2:00 PM - 10:30 PM

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Active California LPT license

Knowledge & Skills

• Comfortable working with individuals who have mental health and behavioral health needs
• Strong observation and documentation skills
• Crisis intervention and de-escalation techniques
• Clear verbal and written communication with patients and team members
• Ability to follow structured protocols and safety procedures
