Roles & Responsibilities

Prepare and maintain a sterile field for surgical procedures with attention to patient safety
Pass instruments and supplies efficiently to the surgical team to keep cases moving smoothly
Set up OR equipment and ensure all instrumentation is functioning correctly before cases
Assist in repositioning and transferring patients as needed while following safety protocols
Perform instrument counts and documentation accurately to support surgical workflow and compliance
Communicate clearly with surgeons, nurses and techs to anticipate needs and improve outcomes
Participate in orientation and ongoing training to maintain high standards of care

Qualifications

Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technologist program or equivalent training
Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) preferred; new grads with relevant training encouraged to apply
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred or willing to obtain
Comfortable working in a fast-paced operating room environment and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams
Willingness to complete required orientation at the facility

Education

Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technologist program or certificate

Knowledge & Skills

Strong knowledge of sterile technique and infection control practices
Familiarity with common surgical instruments and supplies
Ability to anticipate surgical team needs and prioritize tasks under pressure
Good communication and teamwork skills in the OR setting
Attention to detail for instrument counts and documentation
