Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive overnight sleep testing and monitor patients throughout the study
• Set up, calibrate and troubleshoot polysomnography and monitoring equipment
• Record and document physiologic data accurately and maintain clear patient records
• Analyze sleep data and assist with scoring studies under the supervision of technologists and physicians
• Provide patient-centered care by educating patients on procedures and offering reassurance during studies
• Collaborate with the sleep team and facility leadership to ensure high-quality, timely care
• Follow infection control, safety protocols and maintain equipment cleanliness and readiness

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; further healthcare-related education is a plus
• Certification such as RPSGT, CPSGT or equivalent preferred, or willingness to obtain certification
• Current CPR/BLS certification required or must obtain upon hire
• Experience performing sleep testing, sleep analysis and sleep interventions preferred
• Comfort working night shifts and ability to thrive on a travel contract assignment
• Strong communication skills and a professional, patient-focused demeanor

Education

• High school diploma or GED required; associate degree in health sciences or related field preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Hands-on knowledge of polysomnography and overnight sleep study procedures
• Ability to monitor and interpret basic physiologic signals and troubleshoot equipment
• Familiarity with scoring sleep stages and common sleep-related events
• Competence with electronic medical records and accurate data entry
• Patient care skills, including clear instructions and bedside manner
• Attention to detail, reliability and the ability to work independently during night shifts
