Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, hands-on patient care and assistance with activities of daily living
- Take and document vital signs and report changes in patient condition
- Support safe patient transfers and mobility with proper body mechanics
- Communicate clearly and kindly with patients, families, and the care team
- Assist with hygiene, feeding, and comfort measures to promote patient dignity
- Maintain accurate and timely charting and follow facility documentation standards
Qualifications
- Active CNA certification required
- Current state CNA license or certification as required by California regulations
- Comfortable working 12-hour day shifts (7:00 AM - 7:00 PM) on a per-diem basis
- Demonstrated compassion, strong communication, and patient-focused care
- Ability to pass background check, TB screen, and any required health clearances
Education
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Completion of an approved CNA training program (required for certification)
Knowledge & Skills
- Direct patient care and assistance with ADLs
- Basic vital sign measurement and documentation
- Infection control and safe patient handling practices
- Clear, professional communication with patients and team members
- Time management and reliable attendance for scheduled shifts
