Roles & Responsibilities

• Deliver compassionate, patient-centered nursing care to adults in the MST specialty
• Assess patient condition, develop and implement individualized care plans
• Administer medications and treatments safely and document accurately
• Coordinate with the interdisciplinary care team to support continuity of care
• Educate patients and families about treatment plans and post-discharge care
• Maintain strict infection control and patient safety protocols
• Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and share best practices
• Provide clear, timely documentation in the electronic medical record

Qualifications

• Current, active Registered Nurse license (California RN license required for work in CA)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; ACLS preferred
• Prior acute care or specialty experience preferred; per-diem clinical experience a plus
• Strong clinical judgment, excellent communication, and teamwork skills
• Ability to work independently during assigned shifts and adapt to varying unit needs

Education

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN or BSN)
• BSN preferred where available

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid assessment skills and the ability to prioritize patient needs
• Proficiency with medication administration and clinical documentation
• Familiarity with electronic medical records and standard clinical workflows
• Effective communication with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams
• Comfort working in a fast-paced, patient-focused environment
