Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist patients with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, grooming) with dignity and compassion
• Support safe patient mobility and transfers to reduce risk and boost comfort
• Take and record vital signs, reporting any changes promptly
• Maintain accurate, timely patient documentation and communicate effectively with the care team
• Provide basic wound care and assist with feeding as directed by nursing staff
• Promote a clean, safe environment by following infection control and safety protocols
• Offer emotional support and friendly companionship to patients and families

Qualifications

• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification required
• Active/state-appropriate CNA registration or certification expected
• Current CPR/BLS certification preferred or willing to obtain
• Comfortable working 12-hour day shifts and adapting to per-diem scheduling
• Strong communication skills and a team-oriented attitude

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent; CNA certification required

Knowledge & Skills

• Patient care fundamentals and comfort with hands-on caregiving
• Vital signs measurement and basic clinical observations
• Infection control procedures and safe handling practices
• Time management and the ability to prioritize patient needs
• Clear documentation and effective handoff communication
