Roles & Responsibilities

• Assess and monitor critically ill patients, responding quickly to changes
• Administer medications and titrate therapies safely and accurately
• Operate and manage advanced monitoring and ventilator support
• Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to develop and update care plans
• Provide compassionate education and support to patients and families
• Document care clearly and thoroughly to ensure continuity and quality
• Participate in emergency response and rapid intervention as needed

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license — California licensure required or eligible
• ICU clinical experience preferred; comfort managing critically ill patients
• Current BLS certification; ACLS and other critical care certifications a plus
• Strong assessment, prioritization, and critical-thinking skills
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities in fast-paced settings

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) — BSN preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Critical care assessment and monitoring
• Ventilator management and respiratory support knowledge
• Hemodynamic monitoring and vasoactive medication experience
• IV medication administration and titration
• Familiarity with electronic medical records and clear documentation
• Ability to respond effectively in high-acuity, time-sensitive situations
