Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate direct patient care including bathing, dressing and mobility assistance
• Monitor and document patient vital signs and report changes promptly to nursing staff
• Assist with feeding, positioning and activities of daily living while preserving patient dignity
• Support safe patient transfers and use proper body mechanics to reduce risk of injury
• Communicate clearly with nurses, patients and families to support coordinated care
• Maintain a clean, safe environment and follow infection control policies

Qualifications

• Current CNA certification (Certified Nursing Assistant) in the hiring state — required
• Current BLS/CPR certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire)
• Active listing on the state Nurse Aide Registry if applicable
• Ability to pass background check and required health screenings (TB, immunizations)
• Comfort working night shifts and providing hands-on patient care
• Strong communication skills and a caring, patient-first attitude

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Completion of a state-approved CNA training program and current CNA certification

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of basic nursing principles and infection control practices
• Skill in taking and recording vital signs accurately
• Ability to assist with ADLs (activities of daily living) safely and respectfully
• Familiarity with patient mobility and transfer techniques
• Time management skills to prioritize patient needs during busy shifts
• Teamwork and clear communication with interdisciplinary care teams
