Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care in alignment with MST specialty
• Perform thorough assessments and document findings clearly and promptly
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate effective care plans
• Administer medications and treatments safely, following facility protocols
• Educate patients and families about care plans, resources, and follow-up
• Respond to changing patient conditions and escalate concerns appropriately
• Maintain accurate charting and comply with regulatory and facility standards

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in California or compact RN license where applicable
• Clinical experience relevant to MST specialty (experience caring for trauma-impacted patients preferred)
• Current BLS certification; ACLS or other advanced certifications if required by facility
• Strong assessment, communication, and critical thinking skills
• Ability to work independently on per-diem assignments and integrate quickly with unit teams

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of nursing process, patient assessment, and care planning
• Familiarity with trauma-informed care principles applicable to MST work
• Proficiency with electronic health records and clear documentation practices
• Strong interpersonal skills for patient education and team collaboration
• Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced clinical environment
