Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on care and assist patients with activities of daily living
• Take and accurately record vital signs, reporting any changes to the nursing team
• Support safe patient transfers, ambulation and positioning with proper body mechanics
• Maintain clear, professional documentation of care and patient interactions
• Follow infection control, safety protocols, and facility policies to protect patients and staff
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and interdisciplinary team members

Qualifications

• Current CNA certification (required)
• Valid state authorization to work as a CNA in California
• Current BLS/CPR certification preferred or willingness to obtain
• Ability to pass background check and required health screenings/immunizations
• Professional, patient-centered attitude with strong communication and teamwork skills
• Previous CNA experience preferred but motivated new CNAs who are eager to learn are welcome

Education

• High school diploma or GED preferred; CNA certification required

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in basic patient care and assistance with ADLs
• Comfortable obtaining and recording vital signs accurately
• Familiarity with basic charting/documentation practices
• Understanding of infection control and standard safety precautions
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work well in a team
• Good time management and ability to prioritize patient needs
