Candidate Pay Rate: $23 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, hands-on care to patients as a trusted member of the team
Assist with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, toileting and mobility
Take and record vital signs, reporting changes to the nursing staff promptly
Support safe patient transfers and positioning while following proper body mechanics
Maintain a clean, safe environment and follow infection control procedures
Document care accurately and communicate clearly with patients, families and the care team

Qualifications

Current CNA certification in California (required)
CPR/BLS certification preferred or willingness to obtain
High school diploma or GED preferred
Ability to pass background check and drug screening
Compassionate attitude, strong communication skills and the ability to work well on a team
Prior hands-on patient care experience preferred but per diem opportunities may fit many experience levels

Education

High school diploma or GED; current CNA certification required

Knowledge & Skills

Patient care fundamentals including ADLs and mobility assistance
Vital signs measurement and basic clinical observations
Infection prevention and proper use of PPE
Safe transfer and positioning techniques
Basic charting and familiarity with electronic health records
Strong interpersonal skills for patient and family interactions
