Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, patient-centered bedside care to support dignity and comfort
• Assist patients with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, feeding, mobility)
• Monitor and record vital signs, reporting any changes promptly to the clinical team
• Document care accurately and timely in the patient record
• Follow infection control and safety protocols to protect patients and staff
• Communicate clearly with nurses, providers, patients, and families to coordinate excellent care

Qualifications

• Current and active CNA certification (California) required
• Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification preferred or required per facility policy
• Previous CNA experience in acute care, long-term care, or similar setting preferred
• Ability to work overnight shifts and support patient care needs during nights
• Ability to pass background check, TB screening, and facility-required health screenings or immunizations
• Strong communication, reliability, and a caring attitude toward patients and families

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Completed state-approved CNA training program and current certification

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in assisting with ADLs and patient mobility
• Proficient in taking and recording vital signs accurately
• Familiarity with basic patient safety and infection control practices
• Good documentation skills and comfort using electronic health records or bedside charting
• Ability to observe and escalate changes in patient condition
• Team-oriented approach with solid interpersonal and communication skills
