Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on care to patients, prioritizing dignity and comfort
• Assist with activities of daily living including bathing, grooming, dressing, and mobility
• Measure and record vital signs accurately and report any changes to the nursing team
• Support safe patient transfers and positioning following facility protocols
• Maintain clear, timely documentation in the patient record
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary team to support care plans
• Follow infection control and safety procedures to protect patients and staff

Qualifications

• Current and valid CNA certification in the state of California
• Active state CNA license as required by local regulations
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) or CPR certification preferred or willing to obtain
• Available to work per diem day shifts, including short-notice coverage
• Ability to pass background check, drug screen, and meet facility onboarding requirements
• Strong interpersonal skills and a caring attitude toward patients and families

Education

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Completion of an accredited CNA training program and current certification

Knowledge & Skills

• Patient care fundamentals and assisting with activities of daily living
• Accurate vital sign measurement and basic clinical observations
• Basic documentation and charting best practices
• Infection prevention, hand hygiene, and safety protocols
• Effective communication and teamwork in a fast-paced clinical setting
• Time management and the ability to prioritize patient needs
