Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist patients with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, and toileting
• Provide compassionate, respectful bedside care to enhance patient comfort
• Monitor and record vital signs and report any changes to the nursing team
• Assist with safe patient transfers and mobility, using proper body mechanics
• Document care accurately and timely in the patient chart
• Support the interdisciplinary team by communicating patient needs and observations
• Maintain a clean, safe environment and adhere to infection control protocols

Qualifications

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification (state-recognized)
• Eligibility to work in California and meet facility onboarding requirements
• Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification preferred or willingness to obtain
• Demonstrated reliability and ability to work per-diem shifts
• Up-to-date immunizations and willingness to complete required health screenings
• Clear background check and professional references

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Completion of an accredited/state-approved CNA training program

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong patient-centered care and communication skills
• Ability to take and accurately record vital signs
• Experience with ADLs, mobility assistance, and patient positioning
• Basic clinical documentation and charting skills
• Infection control practices and safe patient handling
• Teamwork mindset and ability to follow direction from nursing staff
