Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate respiratory care and treatment to patients with respiratory insufficiencies, asthma, pneumonia and COPD
• Manage and titrate mechanical ventilation settings on Servo I, Hamilton, V60 and Astral ventilators
• Perform and interpret ABGs and implement appropriate interventions
• Deliver airway support including CPAP, BiPAP, nebulizer therapies and chest physiotherapy (CPT)
• Document assessments, treatments and patient progress accurately in Meditech
• Collaborate with physicians and the care team to develop and adjust respiratory care plans
• Act quickly in emergency situations and perform BLS/ACLS interventions as needed

Qualifications

• Current RRT credential (Registered Respiratory Therapist)
• Minimum 2 years of recent acute care hospital RRT experience
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications (required)
• Experience with mechanical ventilation and ABG analysis
• Familiarity with Meditech EMR preferred
• Trauma experience preferred by hiring team

• Proficiency with ABG sampling and interpretation

• Comfortable charting in Meditech or similar EMR systems
• Critical thinking, team collaboration and strong patient advocacy
