Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality respiratory care, assessment and treatment for patients with respiratory insufficiencies
• Manage and optimize ventilator settings (Servo I, Hamilton, V60, Astral) for acute care patients
• Perform ABG analysis and interpret results to guide patient care
• Administer CPAP/BiPAP, nebulizer therapy and chest physiotherapy (CPT) as indicated
• Document all interventions and patient responses in Meditech accurately and promptly
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses and multidisciplinary team members to deliver coordinated care
• Respond quickly and effectively to respiratory emergencies and rapid changes in patient condition

Qualifications

• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential required
• Current BLS, ACLS and NRP certifications (must-have)
• Minimum 2 years of acute care hospital RRT experience (explicit requirement)
• Experience with Meditech EMR preferred by the director
• Comfortable with advanced ventilator types (Servo I, Hamilton, V60, Astral) and non-invasive ventilation (CPAP/BiPAP)
• Trauma experience is a plus

Knowledge & Skills

• Ventilator management and weaning protocols
• Arterial blood gas (ABG) collection and interpretation
• CPAP/BiPAP setup and titration
• Nebulizer therapy and chest physiotherapy techniques
• Proficient documentation skills in Meditech
• Strong clinical judgment, teamwork and communication in fast-paced acute care settings
