Candidate Pay Rate: $49 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide high-quality respiratory care and assessment to patients in acute settings
Operate and monitor ventilators and advanced respiratory equipment safely
Perform arterial blood gas analysis and interpret results to guide therapy
Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and the interdisciplinary team on patient plans
Deliver patient and family education on respiratory care and therapies
Document care accurately and timely in the medical record to support continuity

Qualifications

Active Respiratory Therapist license in Georgia (or ability to obtain)
CRT or RRT credential preferred
Basic Life Support (BLS) required; ACLS/PEARS a plus
Clinical experience in acute care or hospital settings preferred
Strong communication skills and a patient-centered approach

Education

Associate degree in Respiratory Therapy or related field (or equivalent)
Completion of an accredited respiratory therapy program

Knowledge & Skills

Ventilator management and mechanical ventilation skills
Arterial blood gas (ABG) sampling and interpretation
Oxygen therapy, aerosolized medication delivery, and airway management
Patient assessment and critical thinking in fast-paced environments
Teamwork, clear documentation, and infection control practices
Ability to troubleshoot respiratory equipment and alarms
