Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide safe, compassionate telemetry nursing care to DOU/telemetry patients
• Continuously monitor cardiac rhythms and promptly intervene for changes
• Perform thorough assessments and document patient status in the EHR
• Administer medications and treatments according to orders and protocols
• Collaborate with physicians, case management, and interdisciplinary team members to support patient outcomes
• Support unit needs by floating to other areas as required, maintaining high standards of care

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license valid in California
• Experience working in Telemetry and Direct Observation Unit (DOU) settings (telemetry competency required)
• Willingness and ability to float to other units as needed
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) preferred
• Strong clinical assessment, communication, and documentation skills

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required; BSN preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficiency with cardiac telemetry monitoring and alarm management
• Solid patient assessment and clinical judgment in acuity-driven settings
• Medication administration and IV therapy skills
• Electronic health record (EHR) documentation accuracy
• Teamwork, time management, and effective communication with patients and staff
