Candidate Pay Rate: $47 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Assess and continuously monitor patients in the Step-Down Unit, intervening promptly as needed
Provide high-quality, compassionate nursing care and maintain accurate clinical documentation
Administer medications and treatments safely, following established protocols
Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary team to coordinate patient care and discharge planning
Perform focused critical assessments and manage telemetry monitoring when indicated
Educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatments, and follow-up care to promote recovery

Qualifications

Registered Nurse (RN) — listed as primary skill
Experience working in a Step-Down Unit (SDU) or similar acute care setting
Ability to work 12.5-hour shift blocks as scheduled by the facility
Strong clinical assessment and team communication skills

Knowledge & Skills

Patient assessment and acuity recognition appropriate for SDU-level care
Telemetry and cardiac monitoring familiarity
Clinical documentation and safe medication administration
Effective collaboration with interdisciplinary teams and clear communication with patients/families
Prioritization and time management during high-acuity situations
