Roles & Responsibilities

• Monitor telemetry and interpret cardiac rhythms to ensure patient safety
• Deliver high-quality acute and post-surgical nursing care on an MS/Tele unit
• Collaborate with respiratory therapy and pharmacy to coordinate patient treatments
• Perform thorough assessments, document in Cerner, and escalate changes promptly
• Participate in unit-specific orientation and a pass/fail simulation lab on Day 1
• Float to sister facility in Mesa as needed while maintaining continuity of care
• Work collaboratively on weekends and holidays as part of the core rotation team

Qualifications

• Active RN license eligible for Arizona submission (license required to submit)
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications
• Minimum 2 years of acute care/telemetry nursing experience preferred
• Successful completion of dysrhythmia exam (must score 80% within two attempts)
• Driver's license required at time of submittal and ability to float to Mesa
• Familiarity with Cerner charting system is preferred
• Must be free of full-time, part-time, or PRN affiliation with CommonSpirit (including CHI/Dignity) within the past year

Education

• Associate degree or diploma in Nursing (BSN not required)
• Active RN licensure for Arizona

Knowledge & Skills

• Telemetry monitoring and cardiac dysrhythmia interpretation
• Post-surgical and acute care nursing skills (appy/chole and similar cases)
• Strong patient assessment and clinical decision-making
• ECG interpretation and rapid recognition of rhythm changes
• Effective communication with multidisciplinary teams (RT, pharmacy, providers)
• Adaptability for floating and working in sister facilities
• Proficient documentation skills in Cerner
