Contract Type: Per-Diem

Shift Type: RN - PICU, 5-hour shift (specific start/end times and days not provided). Orientation is included.

Candidate Pay Rate: $44 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide expert, compassionate nursing care for critically ill pediatric patients in the PICU
Monitor patient status closely and respond promptly to changes in condition
Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to develop and implement patient-centered plans of care
Communicate clearly and compassionately with families, keeping them informed and supported
Document assessments, interventions, and patient progress in the medical record

Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse license (ability to practice in Ohio required)
Experience working in a Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) or pediatric critical care
Comfort with high-acuity pediatric nursing and rapid assessment
Willingness to complete required orientation and unit onboarding
Current basic life support for healthcare providers; pediatric certifications commonly required or preferred

Knowledge & Skills

Strong pediatric critical care assessment and intervention skills
Experience with ventilator management and advanced monitoring devices in children
Safe medication administration and IV/infusion pump proficiency
Excellent communication and family-centered care approach
Teamwork and collaboration in a fast-paced clinical environment
Accurate clinical documentation and familiarity with electronic medical records
