Location: Omaha, NE

Start Date: 07-06-2026

End Date: 10-05-2026

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 0630-1900 and 1830-0700, every other weekend, every third holiday

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $64 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide exceptional care to adult and geriatric patients with cardiac, nephrology, stroke, and neurologic conditions
Monitor and titrate critical drips such as Cardizem, beta-blockers, and seizure medications with precision
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team in a fast-paced PCU environment
Utilize critical thinking and problem-solving skills to manage complex patient needs
Document patient progress and communicate effectively with charge nurses and physicians
Float to medical floors, ICU, or rehab as needed to support the team

Qualifications

Active RN license in Nebraska or compact state
Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications
Minimum 1-2 years of recent PCU or stepdown experience preferred
Driver's license required for distance verification
Positive attitude and strong teamwork skills

Knowledge & Skills

Proficiency in cardiac monitoring and dysrhythmia interpretation
Experience with titration of IV drips and continuous EEG monitoring
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-acuity setting
Critical thinking and rapid decision-making skills
